Description
Español: Depósito de armas de la Ría de Huelva. Bronce Final. 1000-850 a. C. En 1923, durante los trabajos de dragado relizados por obras de acondicionamiento del puerto de la ciudad de Huelva, se encontró un conjunto de unas cuatrocientas piezas de bronce. Entr sus componentes dominan las armas. El conjunto pertenece a un lugar ceremonial donde estos objetos fueron ofrendados a las aguas y constituye uno de los mayores depósitos acuáticos localizados en el occidente de Europa. Museo Arqueológico Nacional de España.
English: Weapons depot of the Huelva Estuary. Late Bronze Age. 1000-850 BC. In 1923, approximately four hundred bronze pieces were found during the dredging works conducted at the port of the city of Huelva. Most of the finds were weapons. The hoard correspond to a ceremonila site where objects were offered to the waters. It is one of the largest underwater deposits ever found in western Europe. National Archaeological Museum of Spain.
