Français : Dernière tombe d'un cimetière familial en Cévennes.
Après la révocation de l'Edit de Nantes, en 1685, les protestants se se sont vus refuser l'inhumation dans les cimetières de l'Eglise catholique. Les réformés qui n'avaient toujours pas abjuré, n'avaient d'autres ressources que de faire enterrer discrètement dans un bout de terrain de leur maison. Cette tradition s'est perpétuée jusqu'à nos jours. English: Last grave of a family cemetery in the Cevennes.
After the revocation of the Edict of Nantes in 1685, Protestants were denied burial in the cemeteries of the Catholic Church. Reformed who had still not abjured, had no other resource than to bury discreetly in a piece of land of their home. This tradition has continued to this day. Nach der Aufhebung des Edikts von Nantes im Jahre 1685 wurden die Protestanten Bestattung auf den Friedhöfen der katholischen Kirche abgelehnt. Reformierten, die noch nicht abgeschworen hatten, oder nicht augewandert könnte,hatten keine andere möglichkeit als diskret in einem Stück Land ihrer Heimat zu beerdigen. Diese Tradition hat sich bis heute fortgesetzt. |
