Español: Escena del Nuevo Testamento que relata el descendimiento de la cruz del cuerpo de Jesucristo muerto (Mateo 28, 57-61; Marcos 15, 42-47; Lucas 23, 50-55; Juan 19, 38-42). José de Arimatea, Nicodemo y San Juan Evangelista desclavan y hacen descender el Santo Cuerpo, mientras la Magdalena se lamenta a sus pies y la Virgen es consolada en su dolor por otras santas mujeres. Considerada como una de las mejores obras de Correa, destaca la cuidada composición cuyo equilibrio recuerda al arte de Juan de Borgoña (h. 1470 1534) y de Antonio Comontes (ca. 1520). Su tamaño y formato hacen suponer que hubiera podido formar parte del altar de alguna iglesia toledana desamortizada en el siglo XIX. La composición es una pervivencia de los modelos florentinos percibidos a través de Juan de Borgoña, como El Descendimiento de la cruz de este último pintado al fresco en la Sala Capitular de la catedral de Toledo (1509-1511). Se trata de una compleja narración donde convive el dolor de María, la intensa devoción de la Magdalena y la actividad física de Nicodemo, José de Arimatea y, en este ejemplar del Prado, del propio San Juan. La escena se enmarca aquí en un espléndido paisaje que evoca igualmente al maestro Borgoña. El contraste entre los peñascos de rotunda geometría, coronados por arbustos y matorrales de un verde intenso, con el color arcilloso de las piedras sirve para crear un escenario cercano y luminoso que se abre en el centro hacia una línea del horizonte poblada por valles y colinas (Texto extractado de Ruiz, Leticia: Juan Correa de Vivar, c. 1510-1566.
