English: Before being vandalized by oil. Detail. Limestone sarcophagus of the prophet Ahmose. Ptolemaic period, 332-30 BCE. From Egypt. Neues Museum, Berlin, Germany. The vandalism was discovered in early October 2020 by the Museum. Oil has been sprayed (probably via syringe) in the middle part of the sarcophagus's cover (on and near the cartouche). This image was shot on July 22, 2019.
