Description
Deutsch: Das Geleitshaus in Weißenfels wurde 1552 als erstes Haus komplett aus Stein im Renaissancestil errichtet. 1555 zog das Geleitsamt ein, dass Reisenden gegen Entgeld Soldaten zur Verfügung stellte. Außerdem wurden Zölle und Straßennutzungsgebühren eingezogen.
English: The Geleitshaus in Weißenfels was built in 1552 as the first house completely made of stone in the Renaissance style. In 1555, the Geleitsamt moved in, which provided soldiers to travelers for a fee. In addition, customs duties and road tolls were collected.
