English: These are marching bands which show up during festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi in Maharashtra, India. These are large groups of people who take to the streets and play percussion instruments like "Dhol" and "Tasha" ( the instrument you see in the picture is a Tasha). These bands comprise of people from all ages from 13 year olds to over 60 years old playing in unison. These bands accompany the arrival of Ganesh idols during the festival.
