Description
Deutsch: Die im Ilsetal gelegenen Ilsefälle sind Teil des Bachverlaufs der Ilse, welche im Oberharz, am Osthang der Heinrichshöhe entspringt und später bei Börßum in die Oker mündet.

Umgeben von traumhaften Buchenwäldern, sucht sich die Ilse über kaskadenartig angelegten Felsformationen, ihren Weg hinab ins Tal.

[Das Ilsetal liegt am nördlichen Teil des Harzes. Vom Nationalparkort Ilsenburg am Harzfuß bis hinauf ins Quellgebiet der Ilse – nahe dem Gipfel des Brocken (1141,2 m ü. NHN) – erstrecken sich verschiedene Waldgesellschaften des Harzes. Heinrich Heine beschrieb das Ilsetal mit seinem Flüsschen Ilse und dem darüber thronenden Ilsestein im heutigen Nationalpark Harz.
