Deutsch: Vorderseite: DIVVS AVGVSTVS PATER. Kopf des Augustus mit Strahlenkrone nach l.

Rückseite: Rundtempel (der Vesta) mit sechs Säulen und Kuppeldach, auf dem eine (hier nicht erhaltene) männliche Figur steht. Auf dem l. Podest ein Kalb nach r. und auf dem r. ein Lamm nach l. gewandt. Oben S - C zu beiden Seiten des Daches.

Kommentar: Der Vesta-Tempel ist eines der ältesten Gebäude Roms und wurde vermutlich von König Numa Pompilius errichtet. Infolge einiger Brände musste auch dieser Rundbau mehrfach wieder aufgebaut werden. Von Augustus sind zwar keine Bautätigkeiten am Tempel bekannt, doch berichten die antiken Autoren von Stiftungen des Herrschers an die Vestalinnen (Sueton, Augustus 31).
