Italiano: “Il dipinto era stato indicato negli inventari casertani come "Principessa borbonica" e successivamente come "Barbara di Portogallo regina di Spagna"; nessuna di queste identificazioni era valida, poichÈ in realt‡ la tela ritrae Maria Anna Vittoria (1718 - 1788), figlia di Filippo V e di Elisabetta Farnese, che nel 1729 sposÚ Giuseppe principe del Brasile e re del Portogallo. Il dipinto Ë una copia di un altro ritratto della sovrana a figura intera eseguito da Domenico Maria Sani nel Palazzo Reale di Riofrio, identificato nei documenti d'archivio e negli inventari come "Ritratto de dona Mariana Victoria".”
