Description
Deutsch: Der Wehrturm der spätromanischen Kirche (um 1220 - 1250 errichtet) nimmt die ganze Breite des Kirchenschiffes ein. Aus gutem Grund waren die Kirchen so beschaffen, denn Rückeroberung durch die Slawen drohte den östlich der Elbe gelegenen Landstrichen mit ihren noch jungen Christengemeinden. Die Lage der Kirche auf einem flachen Hügel - immerhin der höchsten Stelle des Dorfes - bewahrte sie 2013 vor dem gewaltigen Hochwasser der Elbe, das Fischbeck infolge eines Deichbruchs zu großen Teilen flutete.
