Description
Deutsch: Dorstens Altstadt, Essener Straße Ecke Südgraben / Westgraben: Das 1988 errichtete Denkmal "Schaf, Bauer und Bürger" von Ulrike Enders erinnert an den Brauch des "Schafholens". Die Dorstener Schützen kamen den Bauern bei der Belagerung 1585 zur Hilfe. Zum Dank wurde ihnen alle 7 Jahre ein Schaf versprochen - was jedoch nicht immer freiwillig geschah.
