Summary[edit]

Description
English: Interior of William R. Dowse House, located southwest of Comstock in Custer County, Nebraska. The sod house was built in 1900, and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It is now open as a museum. The photo was taken in the houses south central room, facing east. The door obliquely visible at left leads to the kitchen and the bedroom; the door in the center formerly led outside, but now goes to an enclosed porch; and the edge of an exterior south-facing window is barely visible at the right border of the photo.
