Summary[edit]

Description
English: This nameplate was made in Johor Bahru where Dr Chan was under a contract to run a clinic at Kota Tinggi for two years. His boss was a doctor himself who had four clinics, practised in one and employed from Singapore to run the other three. He thought he was considered well-paid there at $1500 per month as one bowl of mee was only $0.30.

An angpao was found at the back when the sign was taken down in 2019. Dr Chan remembered that his mother went to pray and retrieved the talisman (fu) for good luck.
