Summary
[edit]DescriptionDr. William Chester Minor.jpg |
English: Dr. William Chester Minor (June 22, 1834 – March 26, 1920) was an American army surgeon and one of the largest contributors of quotations to the Oxford English Dictionary. He was also held in a lunatic asylum from 1872 to 1910 after he murdered George Merrett. Part of his story is dramatized in The Professor and the Madman (film). A scene in this movie dramatizes when this photo was taken before leaving the English asylum. |
