Description
Dansk: Illustration af Poul Steffensen til Carit Etlars roman Dronningens Vagtmester, der foregår under den Anden Karl Gustav-krig i 1658-1660. Ib Abelsøn planlægger at hjælpe adelskvinden Elsebeth Buchwald og hendes familie med at flygte fra svenskerne på Gjorslev Slot. Hønsedrengen Palle bilder sin onde mor Kulsoen ind, at han har gemt en pakke med deres sølvtøj på loftet i Ib Abelsøns hytte. Den begærlige Kulsoen stiger derop, men netop som hun beder Palle om at holde øje, fjerner han stigen, så hun ikke kan komme ned. Han spotter den forvirrede Kulsoen ved at sige, at hun ville narre ham, og nu har han narret hende.
English: Illustration by Poul Steffensen from the Danish novel Dronningens Vagtmester by Carit Etlar which takes place during the Dano-Swedish War in 1658-1660. Ib Abelsøn plans to help the noblewoman Elsebeth Buchwald and her family to flee from the Swedes at the Gjorslev castle. The chicken boy Palle makes her evil mother Kulsoen believes that he has hidden a package with their silverware in the loft in the hut of Ib Abelsøn. The eager Kulsoen goes up there but when she asks him to look out he removes the ladder so she can't get down. He spots the confused Kulsoen by saying that she wanted to fool him and now he has fooled her.
