Summary[edit]

Description
English: Showing the wiring of a typical Australian dual 3 pin (230 V, 10 A) socket outlet.

Note that the recessed terminal sockets can easily accommodate up to four 2.5 square millimetre CSA conductors (three are shown) and, when screwed down, the terminal screws are not exposed for accidental contact.

Note also that it is a requirement in Australia and New Zealand that Earth wires be (Green/Yellow) insulated.
