Description
English: Pictured: Ranks from Joint Helicopter Command during their range package on Exercise Clockwork artic training.The annual winter training deployment of Commando Helicopter Force, the wings of the Royal Marines, ensures naval aviators and attached ranks from Joint Helicopter Command are ready to support the marines on their operations all around the world.It happens at the Norwegian air base at Bardufoss, where temperatures have been as low as -27C. The ranks are given the required skills to operate and survive in artic conditions.Joint Helicopter Command (JHC) brings under one command battlefield helicopters of the Royal Navy, Army Air Corps and Royal Air Force. JHC operates the core tasks of lift, find and attack on the battlefield supporting ground forces in the land and littoral environments.
