English: Fairmont, West Virginia - West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin, West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin, Maj. Gen. James Hoyer, and Hershel “Woody” Williams and his daughters celebrate the dedication of a new armed forces reserve center named in honor of Williams, who received the Medal of Honor for actions on Iwo Jima. The Quiet Dell, W.Va. native has been a staunch advocate of veterans’ rights and benefits since he retired from the Marine Corps Reserve in 1969 as a Chief Warrant Officer 4.
