Summary[edit]
DescriptionEclipse 2017 (rubin-wavelet-raw).jpg |
English: To generate this spectacular image of the total solar eclipse on 8/21/17, LSST Project Scientist Chuck Claver combined 240 individual images with ten different exposure levels ranging from 1/2000sec to 2sec, giving each exposure level 24 images. In the full resolution image, you can zoom in to see many stars around the eclipsed sun. Earthshine is visible on the moon and the corona extends almost to the edge of the frame. |
