Summary[edit]

Description
English: Souvenir postcard by Joseph Byron (1847-1923), ca. 1904, showing The Eagle's Nest, a wax table scene at Eden Musée, Manhattan, New York City. The Musée claimed that the scene of an eagle abducting a baby and being chased by the father has occurred several years before in the Adirondack Mountains. The scene appears to be adapted from a scene in the 2nd act of Jon T. Murphy's The Ivy Leaf, a 1884 play. It was thought that the wax table provided the input for Rescued From an Eagle's Nest, a 1908 film by J. Searle Dawley starring David W. Griffith
