Description
Español: El ingeniero jefe George W. Goethals en 1912 sugirió la construcción de un edificio más grande para la sede administrativa de la Comisión del Canal. Como arquitecto se nombró a Austin W. Lord quien terminó los planos en 1913. Por medio del Tratado celebrado por Omar Torrijos Herrera y Jimy Carter, celebrado el 7 de septiembre de 1977, que entró en vigencia el 1 de octubre de 1979,se revierte a Panamá el 31 de diciembre de 1999, la administración del Canal de Panamá.
