English: La pintura de el lavadero sobre el SENA es una pintura realizada por Andrés de Santa María Hurtado en 1887 en el que plasma un momento cotidiano de las mujeres en la época, la cantidad de detalles que se perciben hace de esta una pintura excepcional.
Esta pintura representa la mano de obra de las mujeres dentro de un contexto carcelario que tenía el museo en primera instancia. Una cárcel diseñada para presos, todos ellos hombres, los cuales debían encargarse de sus propias labores. Encontrar una pintura con tanto detalle en la que se resalta una de las responsabilidades de las mujeres en 1887, frente al contexto de la construcción del museo, realiza un contraste interesante sobre las dos caras de una misma moneda. |
