In het midden een palmboom (symbool voor de jaarwenteling) met daarop een medaillon met de god Janus, de Romeinse god van het verleden en de toekomst. Rond de stam van de palmboom heeft de slang Ouroboros (symbool voor eeuwigheid) zich gedraaid. Aan de voet van de palmboom de astrologische dierenriem. Op de voorgrond twee putti. Een putto tekent met een passer een cirkel op de grond.
