Bahasa Indonesia: Embung Bedukan merupakan salah satu destinasi wisata yang cukup potensial di Kabupaten Bantul. Embung ini berjarak + 6,5 kilometer di sebelah barat Puncak Sosok, tepatnya di Dusun Bedukan Kulon RT 01, Pedukuhan Sareyan, Kelurahan Wonokromo, Kecamatan Pleret, Kabupaten Bantul, Provinsi Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. Salah satu fungsi dari embung yang dibangun di wilayah Pedukuhan Sareyan itu adalah sebagai penampungan air dari saluran drainase yang berasal dari permukiman di sekitarnya serta untuk mencegah banjir dan kekeringan. Dengan adanya embung tersebut, air hujan tidak langsung mengalir menuju ke sungai, tetapi ditampung agar bisa digunakan untuk irigasi pertanian. Selain itu, embung tersebut juga dibangun sebagai program percontohan investasi hijau Pemerintah Daerah Kabupaten Bantul dan tempat wisata, yaitu tempat pemancingan. Pun demikian, fungsi utama dari embung ini lebih kepada daya tarik wisata daripada sebagai kolam penampungan air, karena letaknya dekat dengan aliran sungai. Hingga tahun 2020, embung tersebut berfungsi dengan baik, bahkan sedang dikembangkan melalui Satuan Kerja Program Penataan Lingkungan Permukiman Berbasis Komunitas (PLPBK). Bantuan dari kemitraan itu digunakan untuk pembangunan akses jalan menuju embung dan pembuatan gazebo. Dengan adanya gazebo, fungsi embung akan semakin optimal sebagai tempat wisata pemancingan. |
