Description
Français : Les demoiselles (zygoptera) plongent habituellement uniquement la pointe de leur abdomen (ovipositeur) sous l'eau pour pondre. Mais Enallagma cyathigerum s'immerge parfois (comme ici) totalement sous l'eau. A Pont-Aven en aout 2016 deux femelles au moins sont en train de pondre (à plus de 20 cm de profondeur pour l'une), en restant plusieurs minutes sous l'eau. L'environnement est lentique.
English: Zygoptera usually dip only put the tip of their abdomen (ovipositor) under the water surface to lay eggs. But Enallagma cyathigerum sometimes submerged (as here) completely. In Pont-Aven (Britain, France) in August 2016, there are at least two females laying eggs (more than 20 cm deep for one), staying several minutes under water. The environment is Lentic.
