English: La Semana Santa en Guamal Magdalena, es una de las más tradicionales de la Costa Caribe colombiana. En ella se conjuga la religiosidad, la dedicación de la comunidad por mantener las tradiciones y muchas veces el fanatismo de quienes profesan la fe católica en las condiciones de vida más precarias. No obstante a todos los sinsabores los guamaleros católicos viven la tradición de sacar a las calles las imágenes que representan los 12 momentos de la Pasión y Muerte de Jesucristo, en una Santa Procesión que es acompañada de cientos de personas vestidas de morado, los nazarenos, que cargan los pesados "pasos", como son llamadas cada estación, en los días de la Semana Mayor. En la imagen aparecen estos dos pasos, conocidos como Jesús llevando la Cruz y La Dolorosa, llegando a la Iglesia después de haber recorrido el pueblo, a encontrarse en la madrugada del sábado santo, en un emotivo y hermoso momento de recogimiento. La Semana Santa de Guamal, municipio del sur del Magdalena, es una de las más destacadas de Colombia, después de la de la ciudad Blanca de Popayán y Mompox (también ubicado en la Depresión Momposina como Guamal).
