Description
Italiano: Il processo di dissoluzione può essere visto procedere in tre passi:
  1. Rottura attrazioni soluto-soluto (endotermica), vedere ad esempio l'energia reticolare nei sali. ( variazione entalpia reticolare)
  2. Rottura attrazioni solvente-solvente (endotermica), per esempio quello del legame a idrogeno. ( variazione entalpia del solvente, trascurabile)
  3. Formazione attrazioni solvente-soluto (esotermica), nel processo di solvatazione, o idratazione se il solvente è acqua. ( variazione entalpia solvatazione)
