English: Statue of an equestrian officer wearing a corselet. Parian marble. Found on Milos. The horse is depicted at a gentle gallop, with a support beneath its belly. It has a strap with relief decoration on its breast and a cloth over its back. The rider wears a corselet decorated with a gorgoneion and snakes. His chlamys is fastened on his left shoulder and secured by a belt. In his left hand he held the reins and made a gesture of official greeting with his raised right hand. About 100 B.C. Inventory Number: 2715. National Archaeological Museum of Athens.
