Description
Deutsch: Panoramaansicht des Tales der Fränkischen Saale, mit der Erdfunkstelle Fuchsstadt. Diese gehört mit ihren etwa 50 Parabolantennen in vier Antennenfeldern zu einer der größten Satelliten-Kommunikationsanlagen der Welt, die derzeit vom US-amerikanischen Unternehmen Intelsat betrieben wird. Die größten Antennen haben Durchmesser von 32 Metern. Die Erdfunkstelle liegt auf einem ebenen Plateau, welches auf drei Seiten von der hochwasserführenden Fränkischen Saale umflossen wird. Am linken Bildrand der 137,5 Meter hohe Sendemast der Erdfunkstelle. Am Horizont die Wasserdampfwolke vom 25 Kilometer entfernten Kernkraftwerk Grafenrheinfeld.
