| Description | Bilderserie zu OSM-Belegmotiven aus Eisenach. Bildmotiv: Das am Südende der Wartburgschleife befindliche Gebäude wurde als Thüringer Erlebnisportal Wartburg nach einer Gebäudesanierung zu einer Touristinformation umgestaltet. Die jeweils aus einem Stamm gesägten Sitzbänke haben an einem Ende jeweils einen thematischen Marker - der auch im Gebäude auf dem Bedienterminal vorhanden ist. Die Marker stehen symbolisch für Eisenacher Sehenswürdigkeiten und/oder Museen. Das Miniaturauto repräsentiert das AWE-Museum am Heinrich-Erhardt-Platz. Zugleich erinnert es an die Anfänge des Automobilverkehrs auf der Wartburg. Die Fahrzeuge der Hotelgäste und der Wartburgmitarbeiter mussten ausreichend betankt werden, dafür war in den 1920 er Jahren eine Tankstelle an den Wartburggaragen in Betrieb genommen worden. In den 1950er Jahren wurde in den Wartburggaragen sogar Eisenacher Sportgeschichte vorbereitet. Einige Eisenacher Motorsportler werkelten "auf eigene Rechnung" in einer Garage an einem Rennwagen. |
