Description
Deutsch: Ein unausgereiftes weibliches Großes Granatauge (Erythromma najas) am Spiegelteich des Neuwerkgartens, Schloss Gottorf, Schleswig, nördliches Schleswig-Holstein. Der Antehumeralstreifen wird sich während der Ausreifung in den nächsten Tagen verdunkeln, so dass er kaum mehr zu erkennen sein wird. Die Flügel der linken Seite sind noch nicht vollständig entfaltet. Wahrscheinlich handelt es sich um einen Unfall während des Schlupfvorganges, es ist nicht klar, ob das Tier jemals wird fliegen können. Aufgrund ihrer ausgedehnten schwarzen Zeichnung sind die Weibchen von E. najas außerhalb der Reproduktionsgewässer in der Vegetation nur schwer zu entdecken.
English: A teneral female of the Red-eyed Damselfly (Erythromma najas) at the mirror pond, garden Neuwerk, Castle Gottorf, Schleswig, northern Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The antehumeral stripe will darken during the maturation in the next few days, so that it can no longer be seen. The Wings of the left are not yet fully deployed. Probably there is an accident during the slip process, it is not clear whether the animal will ever be able to fly. Because of their extended black drawing the females of E.najas are hard to discover in the vegetation outside the reproduction waters.
