Español: Escudo del Municipio de Floridablanca, Santander (Colombia) El escudo del Municipio de Floridablanca fundado en la heráldica española, lleva inscrita en una cinta de argén la frase latina: "Potius mori quam foedari", que traduce: "Antes morir que deshonrarse", y fue adoptado mediante el Decreto 85 del 7 de noviembre de 1977, siendo alcaldesa doña Carmen Cecilia Pérez Gómez, para honrar y perpetuar en la memoria de los Florideños, el origen del nombre de la ciudad, dado en honor de Don José Moñino y Redondo, Conde de Floridablanca. |
