Description
English: Coat of arms of the noble family Bracamonte, preserved in the Museo Arqueológico Municipal de Cartagena. In the explanatory note that accompanies the sculpture the following description is read:

Italian-type coat of arms with a rectangular field, which has a silver compass on which is a hammer of the same metal, under an argent anchor.

At the bottom of the coat of arms there is a motto:

"Nobilitas atrahit virtu autem Sostent. A[nnus] 1527".

Nobility attracts virtue but also sustains it. Year 1527.

Español: Escudo de la familia nobiliaria Bracamonte, conservado en el Museo Arqueológico Municipal de Cartagena. En la nota explicativa que acompaña a la escultura se lee le siguiente descripción:

Escudo de tipo italiano con campo rectangular, que trae un compás de plata sobre el que se encuentra un martillo del mismo metal, debajo de un áncora de argent.

En la parte inferior del escudo lleva un lema:

«Nobilitas atrahit virtu autem sustentat. A[nnus] 1527».

La nobleza atrae la virtud pero también la sustenta. Año 1527.
