Català: Escut d'Alcalà de Xivert (Baix Maestrat, País Valencià), però amb creus llatines*, que és l'utilitzat tradicionalment per l'Ajuntament: «Escut quadrilong amb el centre inferior en punta. En camper d'atzur un estel d'argent de vuit puntes i un calze d'or amb hòstia d'argent flanquejant un castell del seu color amb una torre, aclarit de sable i terrassat de color natural; sobremuntant les figures, sengles creus de Montesa (gregues[*llatines] de gules) mal ordenades. Per timbre, una corona reial oberta.» [Varona Gil, Josep Eugeni «L'escut d'Alcalà de Xivert». Mainhardt, 62, desembre 2008, pàgs. 10-15]. L'escut està dibuixat amb la corona que hi apareix en els annexos II dels decrets 116/1994, de 21 de juny, i 72/2015, de 15 de maig, del Govern Valencià. Els colors són els que hi apareixen a l'annex IV del Decret 72/2015, de 15 de maig.
Español: Escudo de Alcalá de Chivert (Castelló, España), pero con cruces latinas*, que es el utilizado tradicionalmente por el Ayuntamiento: «Escudo cuadrilongo con el centro inferior en punta. En campo de azur una estrella de plata de ocho puntas y un cáliz de oro con hostia de plata flanqueando un castillo de su color con una torre, aclarado de sable y terrazado de color natural; surmontando las figuras, sendas cruces de Montesa (griegas[*latinas] de gules) mal ordenadas. El escudo está dibujado con la corona que aparece en los anexos II de los decretos 116/1994, de 21 de junio, y 72/2015, de 15 de mayo, del Gobierno Valenciano.
