Description
English: Coastal motor vessel ESTELLE (IMO 5108883) built at Schulte & Bruns, Abteilung Werft- & Dockbetrieb, Emden, Germany (yard № 14, launched: 1922, delivered: 1922) as fishing vessel (Heringslogger) VESTA (AE55) for Emder Heringsfischerei, Emden, 1954 sold to Swedish owner, converted to general cargo ship and renamed WESTA (Skärhamn, Sweden), 1957 lengthened (41,8m), 1959 renamed MONICA (Skärhamn, Sweden), 1961 renamed ESTELLE (Ingvald Wikström, Åstol, Sweden), 1965 sold to Emil V. Gustafsson, Borgå (Porvoo), Finland, 1985 sold to Eestaas Ltd (Turku, Finland), 1986-1994 converted to three-masted-schooner, 2012 used by Swedish organization Ship to Gaza to break the blockade of the Gaza Strip, 19-10-2012 seized by Israel Defense Forces, 2013 laid up Ashdod, Israel, deleted from the register later; photo by J.
