Eesti: Palaeofavosites efalveolasis Goldfuss, Favosites asper dOrb. Fossiilne korall Eesti Ülem-Ordoviitsiumi settekivimitest kuulub väljasurnud korallirühma – tabulaatsed korallid. Tabulaadid on tüüpilised varapaleosoilise merelise fauna esindajad.
English: Palaeofavosites efalveolasis Goldfuss, Favosites asper dOrb. Fossil coral from upper Ordovician beds belongs to the extinct group of invertebrates – tabulate corals. Tabulate corals flourished in early Palaeozoic, being in their prime in Silurian. The group became extinct at the end of Permian. The spreading and diversification of tabulate fauna in Baltic Paleobasin at the end of Ordovician, reflects the movement of Baltica paleocontinent into tropical latitudes in southern hemisphere in those times.
