Notes

[edit]

Harold Lawrence McPheeters (1923- ) writes on February 3, 2013: "This photo was taken sometime in late July or August, 1922, just after my parents had learned that my mother was pregnant with me, and they had gotten married in New York City. This was probably the visit to Mom's folks in Hauppauge, Long Island, to tell them (grandparents, Catherine and Richard Brush), of that event. It just happened that my great-grandparents, Jarvis and Mary Jane Lattin, were there visiting from Isle of Pines, Cuba, where they were then living. The persons from left to right are: My grandmother, Katherine (Lattin) Brush, her son, Richard K. Brush, my grandfather, Richard A. brush, my Mother, Ethel Louise (Brush) McPheeters, Jarvis, A. Lattin and his wife, Mary Jane Lattin."
