Description
Italiano: Nato a Dobbiaco il 23 gennaio 1928, Eugenio Monti è stato uno dei più forti bobbisti di tutti i tempi. Ex sciatore, in seguito a dei gravi infortuni si dedicò al bob vincendo 9 medaglie d'oro ai campionati mondiali e 6 medaglie olimpiche. Lasciato l'agonismo divenne direttore agonistico della nazionale azzurra di bob, e in seguito si occupò degli impianti di risalita a Cortina d'Ampezzo. Affetto dal morbo di Parkinson, Monti si tolse la vita il 1° dicembre 2003. Renzo Alverà (Cortina d'Ampezzo, 17 gennaio 1933-17 marzo 2005) è stato un bobbista, compagno di equipaggio di Eugenio Monti con cui ha conquistato numerose medagli olimpiche e mondiali.
