Summary[edit]

Description
English: This image of Europe is a mosaic obtained combining thousands of images acquired by the Copernicus Sentinel-1 satellites between 1 May 2021 and 30 April 2022 and allows to observe the seasonal vegetation changes which took place during the reference period. The image shows the areas where vegetation was present only during the spring 2021 in cyan, in green the areas where vegetation was present only during the end of summer of 2021 and the beginning of autumn 2022, in magenta those where vegetation was present during both the summer 2021 and spring 2022. All other areas had some vegetation cover throughout the period of reference. Finally, this visualisation shows the European glaciers in orange.
