Description Nueva York (Estados Unidos), 24 de septiembre 2013. Los afectados por la contaminación que dejó Chevron-Texaco en la Amazonía ecuatoriana fueron escuchados en el evento “Derechos Humanos, Medio Ambiente y Transnacionales- El caso Chevron-Texaco en el Ecuador”, que se llevó a cabo en el marco del 68 Periodo de sesiones de la Asamblea General de Naciones Unidas. Intervinieron además: Heraldo Muñoz, subsecretario general de las Naciones Unidas y director para América Latina del Programa de las Naciones Unidas para el Desarrollo (PNUD); Ricardo Patiño, Canciller del Ecuador; Martin Khor, Director Ejecutivo del Centro del Sur.
