Description

Rio Curral de Arame, na beira da BR 163. Os moradores de Apicay o utilizam de forma tradicional para banhar-se, lavar roupas e beber água, mesmo com a desconfiança de contaminação por agrotóxicos oriundos das monoculturas na região.

Ao todo são 14 famílias Guarani Kaiowá no acampamento improvisado "Apicay". O nome vem do guarani: "os que esperam". Nesse caso, a espera é pela terra sagrada, onde estão enterrados seus ancestrais. A mesma terra com a qual estabelecem uma relação espiritual difícil de ser prontamente entendida por nós, homens brancos. Hoje, o espaço está com acesso impedido judicialmente pelo poder público e foi tomada pela monocultura.
