Summary[edit]

Description
English: To test whether the invasive golden apple snails can be bio-managed by poultry in rural areas of China, CBCGDF researchers tried to get some chickens to live with golden apple snails. At first the chickens were curious, especially when the golden apple snails moved; but they became indifferent after a few attempts when they realized that they could not break the snail shells. Then the researchers broke the snail shells and immediately the chickens started pecking at them. Later chicken fell in love with the new food. Photo by: Linda Wong (CC-BY-4.0)
