English: In summertime there are 7 rowing competitions held around the Faroe Islands. Two of the events are always in the same towns, Norðoyastevna is always in Klaksvík and Ólavsøka is always in Tórshavn. The other events are normally not in the same village year by year, but only every second or every third year in the same village. This photos was taken on Eystanstevna in Runavík just after the boat race of the largest boat types, 10-mannafør, which has 10 rowers plus one coxswain. Eystanstevna with FM boat races is every second year in Runavík, even years (2008, 2010, 2012 etc.). Odd years there is an event called Varmakelda in stead, Varmakelda is held in the village Fuglafjørður in the north-eastern part of Eysturoy (2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 etc.). The boats on this photo are Suðuoyingur from the island Suðuroy (dark green and white) and Klaksvíkingur from Klaksvík (white red and blue). Klaksvíkingur won the race. The white and black building is the Harbour Office of Runavík.
