Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Influenced by the Fennoman movement, many public officials and students changed their Swedish or foreign family names into Finnish. In this caricature, the Swedish comic paper Fyren pokes fun at the name changes, which transforms gentlemen students into peasants in national romantic, medieval Finnish attire.
Date Early 20th century.
