Summary[edit]

Description A U.S. Navy Grumman F-14A-70-GR Tomcat (BuNo 158983) of Fighter Squadron 2 (VF-2) "Bounty Hunters" in flight. VF-2 and VF-1 were established on 14 October 1972 as the first operational U.S. Navy Tomcat-squadrons.
158983 crashed on 20 June 1986 near Fallon, Nevada (USA) while in service with VF-302. Both crew ejected safely.
