Summary[edit]

Description Four McDonnell F-4B Phantom IIs of fighter squadron VF-14 Tophatters in 1969 (BuNos 149458, 151430, 151434, 152208). VF-14 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing One (CVW-1) aboard the U.S. aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CVA-67) for her first deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 5 April to 21 December 1969. The aircraft are armed with AIM-7 Sparrow and AIM-9D Sidewinder air-to-air missiles.
