Description
English: A Grumman F-9J Cougar on display at the Patuxent River Naval Air Museum in Lexington Park, Maryland. This F-9, Bureau Number 144275, was received by the Navy as an F9F-8, and converted to the F9F-8B. It was later converted to the QF-9J target drone, and flown out of the Pacific Missile Test Center at NAS Point Mugu. It was retired in September 1966 and displayed in Richmond, Virginia, and was later transferred to the museum.
