Description
English: Coal-fired power plant of the Frankfurt and Offenbach Tramway Society (FOTG), one of the first electric tramway lines in the world and the first commercial electrical tramway in Germany and also the first tramway in Germany using a overhead line. The line was opened at February 18th, 1884 to Frankfurt-Oberrad and at April 10th, 1884 further to Offenbach.
Deutsch: Anlagen des Kohle-Kraftwerks der Frankfurt-Offenbacher Trambahn-Gesellschaft (FOTG), einer der ersten elektrischen Straßenbahnen der Welt und die erste kommerzielle elektrische Straßenbahn in Deutschland. Die erste Straßenbahnlinie in Deutschland mit einer Oberleitung wurde am 18. Februar 1884 bis Frankfurt-Oberrad in Betrieb genommen und am 10. April 1884 bis Offenbach verlängert.
