Русский: Лицевой летописный свод. 26 августа 1552 года. И Богу помогающу православным, одолеваху безбожных и множество побиша татар и во град вбиша их, и мосты градцкие наполънися мертвых. И сташа головы стрелецкие и стрелцы и головы з боярскими людьми и казаки по рву града и стреляхуся ис пищалей и из луков.
English: Illustrated Chronicle of Ivan the Terrible. 26 august, 1552. And God helped to orthodox Christians to overpower the infidels and many tatars were killed and robbed. And bridges of the town were full of corbses. And the Heads of streltsi and streltsi and the Heads with boyar people and Cossacks were standing on the town trenches and shooted from pishchals and bows.
