Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Second shot of a faded sign directing motorists to the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge (formerly known as the Triborough Bridge) on the northwest corner of Astoria Boulevard North and 49th Street in the Ditmars-Steinway neighborhood of the Astoria section of Queens, New York City. The Triborough Bridge was built in 1936, and was renamed for former senator and assassinated 1968 Presidential candidate Robert Francis Kennedy. However knowing his record on thwarting the construction of the Hudson River Expressway due to environmental concerns, it's not very likely he would have allowed the construction of this bridge, let alone the roads leading to it.
